I drove all niiiiigggghhhht to get to you

11:47 PM / Posted by Jay / comments (1)

Last night was one of the greatest nights of my life.

I saw the legendary performer Celine Dion in concert. This was my first concert and I knew with all my heart it was going to be memorable.

Me and my friend Ashley planned the whole thing. We would leave 2 and a half hours before the concert started so we would not be late to see her.

The Concert started at 8, we were supposed to leave at 5:30. Ofcourse we didn't leave exactly on time but it wasn't a deal breaker. We went to get something to eat( which was part of the allotted time that we gave ourselves). The food was relatively quick so that didn't pose a problem for us.

I had 8 dollars in my pocket because I thought that would be more than enough to get parking because it cost me 6 dollars one night to park when I went to this club. That is where my stupidity kicked in. Ofcourse parking around a Celine Dion concert wouldn't be 6 dollars! We got to the area like 6:45. In my head I am thinking "We have more than enough time because we came early"......WRONG!!!

I have never seen so much traffic in my life! virtual gridlock.

I still thought that we had enough time.

Once I realized that I wouldn't have enough, we had to drive to a bank and get money out of the ATM to afford any type of parking.

We drove....More traffic....Drove a little bit more...Even More traffic.

I am panicking....Ashley is yelling. I am yelling at her because she is yelling at me.

I hear the ticking of the clock...Time is passing.

6:45 turns to 7 and 7 turns to 7:15 and we aren't even close to finding a park.

I made wrong turns.

Drove away while people were giving me directions

Ashley yells some more.

7:30 hits and we are not moving in the traffic storm that Celine has caused.

My stomach turns as I am about to cry.

Ashley keeps yelling "We are never going to make it"

My heart breaks.....Will it go on?

Finally at 7:47 we find a place to park

$25

didn't have time to complain.

We weren't to far from the stadium

but we ran

I never ran so fast in my life.

Time is dwindling as my sweat is dripping.

Will we ever see her?

We get there on time and as we catch our breaths it is 8:01!

No Celine

8:02

No Celine

8:05

The light dims

Celine?!?!!

No

It was her opening act, a talented man who does impersonations of other musicians.

for 45 effin minutes he performed and in my head I am like: "all of that shit so I can wait!!!"

He gets off

more waiting

The lights dims finally!

and the goddess enters the stage.

Beautiful and Magnificent as you would think she is.

All that chaos was worth it.

Celine Dion was worth  every minute and penny that I spent.

Greatest Night EVER!!!!

TV Alert: Ugly Betty No more?

6:50 PM / Posted by Jay / comments (1)

One of the best shows on television and one of ABCs crowning gems, Ugly Betty will be put on hiatus in march, for episodes of Samantha Who? and In Motherhood and will probably resume in June. Now I am a Samantha Who? fan and In Motherhood is a new show, but benching Ugly Betty blows. I still watch this show and I still love this show.

Hopefully ABC renews it for another season.

There are a few movies that are opening this week and others that are finally getting a wide release

Underworld: Rise of the Lycans

Revolutionary Road

The Wrestler

InkHeart <<<< I don't care for this one either.

Oscar season is in full swing, so movie studios are trying for a serious push of their films?

Will Underworld come out on top or will we be surprised by the Mall Cop again?

A high school girls basketball team beat another team 100 points to 0.

Now the winning team wants to forfeit their win because they feel bad

boo freak hoo

 Here is the statement:

"It is shameful and an embarrassment that this happened," the head of the school said Thursday on The Covenant School's Web site. He added that Covenant has made "a formal request to forfeit the game recognizing that a victory without honor is a great loss."

So now you feel bad for kicking ass? You did a good job and you should be rewarded for it. It isn't your fault that the losing team REALLY sucks.

Honestly, by them even releasing this on their website and now to the news they brought attention to themselves.

If I were the losing team, I would be even more embarassed by the statement that was released.

The Losers of the 2008 presidential campaign, John McCain and Sarah Palin,  are to meet this month for business I really don't care about.

As you know Palin is on her latest tour assaulting the "Liberal bashing media" and how Katie Couric and Tina fey exploited her and her unwed pregnant( at the time) teenage daughter and the guy she is forcing her to marry.

oops!

She also blamed JMacs camp for throwing her out there with out prepeartion

ya think?

Who do you think would win in a fight: Sarah Palin or the real Maverick John McCain.

My money is on the pit bull

Obama gets to keep his BlackBerry

3:41 PM / Posted by Jay / comments (0)

President Obama has been battling an ongoing fight with the secret service to keep his trusted Blackberry. He is addicted to it, just like millions of Americans

Well he is actually going to get to keep his blackberry and of course it is going to be protected out of the ying-yang. Ten to one someone hacks into it though.

He better not send Michelle any sex texts because after he leaves office all of his emails become public record....and lord knows we don't need another presidential sex scandal

they say he is the techiest president we've had as Clinton and bush had no idea how to use a computer.

This woman in New Guinea was burned alive because she was accused of being a witch?

Apparently her death is in a string of many

The country's Post-Courier newspaper reported Thursday that more than 50 people were killed in two Highlands provinces last year for allegedly practicing sorcery.

Obama approaches Dr. Sanjay Gupta as Surgeon General

I couldn't be more excited about this. President elect Barack Obama has "approached" CNNs Dr. Sanjay Gupta as surgeon general. This is just great news.

Anyone who watches CNN knows that Gupta is a regular on the network and very beloved. They say he was approached but we don't know if he's accepted. I really hope he does.

However, does this mean we wont see him on CNN anymore?

I am loving the diversity of the Obama Administration.

2 cents: Color me Surprised

11:36 AM / Posted by Jay / comments (0)

Roland Burris was rejected today outside of the Senate Chambers because he decided to be Blagos bitch.

I actually got into a heated discussion with my parents this morning about this. They believe Burris should be seated as senator of Illinois because he is qualified,  I don't disagree with that. However, Blago knew FULL well what he was setting Burris  up for. The democratic leaders said because you are being investigated anyone you choose will be rejected. So what does Rog Blagojevich do? he chooses someone anyways.

Blago is innocent until proven guilty..I get it. As Governor he has all right to appoint someone to the senate, it is the law.

However, Democratic leaders have all right to reject him. The Secretary of state of Illinois has all right not to sign that certificate.

Blago isn't being charged for selling crack to whores? He is being charged for trying to sell the very seat that Burris wants.

You cannot go in good conscious and be like "even though someone is appointing me as senator, the same someone who is accused of selling Barack Obamas' senate seat. I'll take the job anyways because lord knows there wont be any issues, i mean shit...look at my resume"

Roland Burris is qualified but he let Blagojevich use him and tarnish his reputation.

Roland Burris you knew full well that you were going to be rejected today, why the hell would you get your ass out of bed to be public fodder for another day.

Racist much: Muslim family kicked off airplane

11:46 AM / Posted by Jay / comments (0)

So a Muslim family decided to go on vacation from frigid Washington D.C to sunny Orlando, Florida. As they are on the plane they discuss amongst themselves which is the safest area of the plane, by the wing, the cockpit, the rear, etc...

The racist people on the plane got worried and complained to AirTran officials that they were frightened and got the family kicked off of the airplane, all 8 of them.

I do wonder if this were a white family, would this of happened? I doubt it.

The FBI clears the family of any wrongdoing because they realize "hey, it was just a conversation". Well apparently to AirTran it wasn't. They refused to rebook the family a later flight. They are going to give them a full refund, but  refuse to rebook them? Racist much.

I hate AirTran. Not because they did this to their family, ever since that bitch threw the peanuts at me back in 02. I have boycotted that airlines ever since.
